Mandarin salad and dates

This mandarin salad recipe and dates is a constant part of my life since I was taught by a friend a few months ago.

It is a sweet, healthy and very easy to make salad. It works ideal to accompany a pork chop, ribs, or beef.

It is made with arugula, watercress or lettuce, any of the three ... or three.

Salad Tangerine and Date

Ingredients and preparation:

  • Arugula, lettuce, or fresh watercress, you decide
  • Tangerines
  • Dates
  • White vinegar
  • Tangerine juice (or orange, or lemon)
  • Olive oil
  • Sugar (optional)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

After properly washing the arugula/lettuce/watercress, pick with your fingers and put it on in a deep container.

Peel one or two tangerines, removing even the skin (leaving the flesh exposed), cut the segments in half, remove the seeds and add them to the container.

Chop the dates in half, remove the seeds and put them also in the container.

Prepare a vinaigrette with a splash of vinegar, a touch of some citrus juice (may be tangerine, orange or lemon), a pinch of sugar, salt, pepper and a stream of olive oil.

Stir, add to the container where the other ingredients are, mix and go. Enjoy your mandarin salad with dates.

Fact: The amounts of each of the components of the vinaigrette depend on your personal taste, but in the case of vinegar and oil olive, the ratio should be two servings of oil for one of vinegar, you can take it even to 3 × 1.
